In Minnesota, Somali community leaders are once again demanding “reparations” from taxpayers for the inconvenience of ICE doing its job. After years of generous refugee resettlement programs that brought thousands to the state, activists now claim enforcement against illegal immigration and criminal elements has caused them “trauma” and economic harm. They want grants, eviction protections, and special relief for businesses—essentially handouts for facing consequences.

This comes as Minnesota grapples with billions in welfare fraud scandals tied to Somali networks, including the infamous Feeding Our Future case. Law-abiding Americans are expected to foot the bill for open borders policies that strain communities, schools, and budgets.

True compassion means enforcing our laws and prioritizing citizens first, not rewarding illegal presence or shielding violators from accountability. Enough with the endless demands.
